I’ve lived in Pattaya for more than a year and visited many places. I especially like to eat, so my first post in this category will be about a nice restaurant. This is not an ad, nobody payed me for the post.
The place is called Salmon Yukito. It’s located in Jomtien on Bun Kanchana Alley, not far from Makro. Their specialty is Japanese cuisine. They offer a wide variety of sushi and plenty of salmon sashimi. There’s no dining area – you can take away or order delivery.

Sushi set
I tried one sushi set for 480 baht, and it was really delicious.
The sushi was tightly packed, so it could easily survive transportation and still look like it does in the menu picture.

The set included 6 sushi pieces and 18 rolls with salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, red caviar, and eel. I like salmon, and there was plenty of it. The slices were quite thick.

Everything was fresh and delicious. The avocado was ripe, but the eel had a couple of fish bones. I know that eel is quite bony, and everywhere I’ve eaten sushi with it, I’ve found bones. In some places, I found many more, so only two bones in three rolls is fine.

I also liked the red caviar. It reminded me of the kind I used to eat in my hometown in Russia.
Price
As I mentioned, the price was 480 baht (about $15). The set includes 24 pieces. That’s 480 / 24 = 20 baht for a piece ($0.6).
You can buy cheaper sushi at food markets. Stalls at the Big Jomtien Market offer sushi for 10 or even 5 baht per piece, but they’re smaller and quality isn’t as good. Their appearance is also not very nice because they stay on the counter for some time, exposed for flies.
Conclusion
Salmon Yukito is a nice place if you like Japanese food. I’ll definitely go there again.
